Mackenzie Petrie

Mackenzie Petrie is the 11 p.m. anchor and reporter at WALB News 10. She's been with WALB since July 2022. She went to Mundy’s Mill High School and graduated in 2017. She was freshman princess 2017, varsity cheer captain from 2016-17, and was Miss Cheer 2017. She graduated from Valdosta State University in 2022. While there, she was VSU Cheer National Champion 2018, Crowds Favorite Miss Kappa Alpha Psi Pageant 2018 and she completed a year with Blazer Sports Report. While there, she was able to record and broadcast games live and record a sports news show. She gained knowledge and hands-on experience in camera work, directing/technical directing, graphics and audio. Outside of work, she enjoys going on vacation, playing with her labradoodle and going to the river with family and friends. 2q292n
