• Start Date: Dec. 23, 2023

• Hometown: I am a military BRAT, so I moved around A LOT. Just a few places I've lived: Baltimore, MD; Wright-Patterson AFB, OH; Dover, DE; San Francisco, CA; New York, NY. For me, home is where the heart is.

• Moving From: Chicago

• Graduated From: University of South Carolina, Honors College (BA in Communication); American Conservatory Theater (MFA in Theater); Northwestern University (MSJ)

• Degree: BA, MFA, MSJ

• Career Synopsis: I have had quite a circuitous route to journalism! After working as a producer, I pursued my love for the arts and moved to New York City where I was accepted into a professional dance program at Broadway Dance Center. While studying theater and performing, I taught kids from 3 years old through high school for many years. I learned SO MUCH as a teacher and love being in a classroom. I wanted to use my ion for storytelling and community engagement as a journalist, which is why I went back to school to pursue journalism once again. One of my greatest dreams is to create a news network for young people to bring forward stories they feel are important to share.

• Awards: "Best Daughter" (issued by my parents)
