UPDATES: Braves put up season-high 12 runs in win over Rockies
ATLANTA -- The Atlanta Braves trailed for the majority of their series opener against the Colorado Rockies before two 3-run home runs propelled them to an 12-4 victory on Friday night at Truist Park.
It was the fifth regular season game broadcast live on Gray Media in 2025.
The last time the Braves (30-38) had hit a 3-run home run was on April 23, and 3-run homers by Michael Harris II and Marcell Ozuna put the team’s bats on display in what seemed like a rarity throughout a 5-20 stretch entering Friday’s game.
Starting pitcher Bryce Elder was lights out in his previous start (12 strikeouts across 8 innings), but that didn’t carry over to Friday’s outing against Colorado, pitching just 3.1 innings and allowing four earned runs on seven hits and three walks. Atlanta pitchers allowed 14 hits to Rockies (13-56) hitters.
That’s the third most by the Rockies in a single game this season.
Atlanta wraps up its series against Colorado on Sunday before opening a 13-game stretch against NL East opponents. on Tuesday.
