(Gray News) - A longtime soap opera star has reportedly died.

According to multiple outlets, Chris Robinson, who starred on “General Hospital” and ”The Bold and the Beautiful,” died at 86 years old.

Robinson’s death was announced by fellow actor MJ Allen on social media, People reported.

“Prolific Hollywood actor Chris Robinson has ed away at the age of 86,” Allen shared in the post. “He peacefully ed in his sleep at his ranch near Sedona, Arizona.”

According to Allen, Robinson suffered from heart failure and died during the overnight hours on June 9.

Robinson had more than 100 television and film roles during his acting career.

The 86-year-old was best known for his role on “General Hospital,” playing Dr. Rick Webber for more than 1,000 episodes.

He also appeared on “The Bold and the Beautiful” as Jack Hamilton from 1992 to 2005, according to IMDb.

Additionally, the longtime soap star is known for famously saying, “I’m not a doctor, but I do play one on TV.”

Allen said Robinson is survived by his wife of 14 years and sons, Shane, Coby, Christian, Taylor, Christopher Robinson, Christopher Lance, and adopted son Robb Walker. He had 5 grandchildren, Ivy, Ava, Davey, Brooks and Knox.
