House fire leaves man who lost legs without home

GRANITEVILLE, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - A fire in Graniteville left three firefighters with minor injuries and a family without a home.
Officials say it started as a vehicle fire on Friday that spread to a structure fire.
The house belonged to the family of Matthew Lex.
You may Lex from a story we shared with you back in 2023 when Lex lost both of his legs in an accident with an impaired driver.
He was 19 at the time of the accident.
Since then, he’s been through at least 11 surgeries and had 27 blood transfusions.
