EVANS, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Evans Elementary School got a spoofed phone call Thursday morning with a suspicious message.

Despite the message on the call and the fact that it initially appeared to come from near Atlanta, there was no active threat against the school, officials said.

Out of an abundance of caution, outdoor activities were suspended for a time, though normal operations continued. After the call was determined not to be a threat, outdoor activities resumed.
