Rep. Rick Allen’s staff to offer help to CSRA communities

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - U.S. Rep. Rick W. Allen announced that of his staff will host community office hours across Georgia’s 12th Congressional District during May.
The staff will be available to assist constituents with a variety of federal issues, including help navigating various federal agencies such as FEMA, Social Security, Veterans Affairs, Medicare and others.
Allen himself will not be in attendance.
Augusta official suspended as city repays feds millions
Augusta Housing and Community Development Director Hawthorne Welcher is on istrative leave, and his department faces an audit.
Here’s a look at the office hours in the CSRA:
- Burke County: Tuesday, May 20 from 9 a.m.-10:30 a.m.; County Commission Boardroom, Burke County Courthouse; 111 E. Sixth St., Waynesboro.
- Columbia County: Wednesday, May 7 from 9:30 a.m.-11 a.m.; Grovetown City Hall; 103 Old Wrightsboro Road, Grovetown.
- Emanuel County: Thursday, May 8 from 10 a.m.-11:30 a.m.; Swainsboro-Emanuel County Chamber of Commerce, 102 S. Main St., Swainsboro.
- Glascock County: Wednesday, May 14 from 10 a.m.-11:30 a.m.; Family Connections & Communities in School, 370 W. Main St., Gibson.
- Jefferson County: Wednesday, May 14 from 12:30 p.m.-2:30 p.m.; Community Club House; 101 McNair St., Wrens.
- Jenkins County: Thursday, May 8 from 1 p.m.-2:30 p.m.; Jenkins County Chamber of Commerce; 548 Cotton Ave., Millen.
- Lincoln County: Wednesday, May 7 from 12 p.m.-1:30 p.m.; Lincoln County Courthouse, 210 Humphrey St., Lincolnton.
- McDuffie County: Wednesday, May 7 from 1 p.m.-2:30 p.m.; Thomson-McDuffie istrative Building, 210 Railroad St., Thomson
- Screven County: Thursday, May 8 from 3 p.m.-4:30 p.m.; Screven County Courthouse, Commission Boardroom, 216 Mims Road; Sylvania.
- Warren County: Wednesday, May 7 from 10 a.m.-11:30 a.m.; Warren County Chamber of Commerce, 46 Norwood St., Warrenton.
- Washington County: Tuesday, May 20 from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.; Sandersville City Hall, 141 W. Haynes St., Sandersville
