2 runaways found, 1 still missing in Augusta

The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help locating three runaway juveniles who may be together.

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office announced they safely located two of the three runaways that went missing this month on Tuesday.

Deputies said they safely located De’Aundre Jones and Elijah Johnson and returned them to their families on Tuesday.

Authorities first asked for help locating three runaway juveniles who were thought to be together on Monday.

However, authorities did not give an update on the third runaway, Donovan Tanksley.

Tanksley, 12, is described by authorities to be five feet five inches in height and weighing around 100 pounds.

Tanksley was last seen on Dec. 15 in the 2100 block of Shirley Avenue. He has been seen in the Jennings Homes area and the Harrisburg area.

Richmond County deputies are also searching for a woman for questioning in connection to Tanksley’s case.
