AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - You can weigh in on possible improvements for the Blythe Recreation Center during a public discussion on Thursday.

This week, Augusta Parks and Recreation Department hosted two meetings to get your input on two local parks.

Both are expected to discuss improvement project plans for two parks - one in Blythe, and the other in Hephzibah.

The meetings are to help decide the future of the McBean and Blythe parks, and they want people from the community also to come help weigh in. They will also learn about proposed park changes.

During the meetings, they encourage community to come and express any concerns or suggestions they have related to the parks.

The second meeting will be on Thursday at the Blythe Area Recreation Center.

The first meeting was Monday at 6 p.m. at the McBean Community Center.

But this isn’t the first time we’ve talked about improving parks across the CSRA.

Last year, city leaders approved millions of dollars to go towards Dyess and May Park to add amenities like a walking trail, pickleball courts, basketball courts and more.

That will take some time to see progress.
