Washington County shooting reported, but victim is a mystery

TENNILLE, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an overnight shooting.
On Sunday at 1 a.m., the Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of gunshots in the 700 block of Matthews Road.
The caller said they heard about 25 shots, and deputies later got a report that a male was at a residence on Irwin Avenue nearby, saying he had been shot.
Once deputies arrived at the Irwin Avenue home, the victim had fled.
While deputies discovered and collected blood samples from the location, they say a search of the area for the victim was unsuccessful.
