AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - A suspect has been charged with reckless conduct in connection with a shooting that injured a 16-year-old.

Jaylavin Fulmer, 19, was taken into custody soon after Tuesday’s shooting, and deputies identified him Thursday.

According to an arrest warrant, he fired a .380-caliber pistol inside his 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and the bullet hit a 16-year-old who was running past the vehicle at 2038 Bolt Drive.

The victim was struck in the upper left leg and was taken to a hospital, where he was stable Thursday, according to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.
