AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - One person is dead after a crash involving two cars, one being a Richmond County patrol car.

According to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened around 9:22 p.m. Friday.

Deputies say a four-wheeler was traveling on Barton Chapel Road when it was struck by a Dodge Challenger turning onto Barton Chapel from Blossom Drive.

The four-wheeler driver then traveled into the oncoming path of a Richmond County deputy driving a patrol car on Barton Chapel Road.

The four-wheeler driver was pronounced dead on the scene. The Richmond County coroner identified the woman as 17-year-old Cheyenne Grace of the 2500 block of Friar Lane.
